Billing & payments
Refund Policy
Summary
Paid Evigate subscriptions are non-refundable. The Free plan includes the full feature set (only usage limits differ), so you can evaluate everything the product does before paying a rupee: subscribe only once you have tested it and trust it. Two things this policy never overrides: we always correct genuine billing errors, and any non-waivable consumer rights you have under applicable law remain yours.
1. Try before you buy
The Free plan includes every feature; the paid plan differs only by higher usage limits. Evaluate Evigate fully on the Free plan before subscribing: run real questionnaires, review the drafts, test export and deletion. Subscribe only when you have verified the product fits your needs. That evaluation path is the reason paid fees are not refundable.
2. No refunds
Fees already paid are non-refundable, in full or in part. This includes, for example: unused time in a billing period, low or no usage, dissatisfaction with AI draft quality (drafts are decision support that the Free plan lets you evaluate first, see the AI Usage Policy), or forgetting to cancel before a renewal. You can stop future charges at any time by cancelling (Section 4).
The only exceptions are genuine billing errors (Section 3) and any mandatory consumer-protection rights that applicable law does not allow to be waived; nothing in this policy limits those rights.
3. Billing errors
We always correct charges that should not have happened, for example:
- a duplicate charge for the same period;
- a charge made after a timely cancellation took effect;
- a charge in an amount different from the published price.
Report a billing error to legal@logethos.com from your account email with the organization name and the charge in question. Verified billing errors are refunded through Paddle to your original payment method.
4. Cancellation is not a refund
You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep your paid limits until the end of the period you have already paid for and then move to the Free plan. No refund is involved, because you keep what you bought. Your data is retained on downgrade, not deleted; to delete it, use the data-deletion controls (see the Privacy Policy).
5. Merchant of record
Paid subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase: Paddle is the seller of record, processes the payment, collects and remits applicable taxes, and administers refunds and chargebacks for the transaction. Paddle's own buyer terms also apply to the payment, and any refund we approve under this policy (or that mandatory law requires) is issued through Paddle to your original payment method.
6. BYOK and provider costs
If you use bring-your-own-keys, you pay your AI/embedding providers directly under your own accounts; those costs are not billed by us and not refundable by us. Charges you incur on your own provider accounts are between you and that provider.
7. Failed payments and disputes
If a renewal payment fails, your account may enter a grace period and then revert to Free-plan limits until payment succeeds; this is not a refundable event. If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve it directly; chargebacks on legitimate charges may result in suspension under the Acceptable Use Policy.
