A security questionnaire is a promise in writing. An answer that sounds right but is not backed by your evidence is worse than no answer at all. So Evigate only writes what your documents support, and abstains when they support nothing.

Every answer is written from passages retrieved out of your own corpus: your policies, your SOC 2 report, your prior questionnaires. The model does not draw on general knowledge or on what other companies usually say. If a claim is not in your evidence, it does not go in the draft.
This is a deliberate constraint, not a limitation we are apologizing for. It is the reason a reviewer can trust the output: the answer and its source travel together.
Every line carries a citation to the exact passage it came from. You can open it, read the surrounding context, and confirm the answer says what your document says. That is the receipt, and it is attached to everything.
When nothing in your corpus supports a question, Evigate does not improvise. It marks the row as no evidence and hands it to a person. A blank you can see beats a confident sentence you cannot trust.
