Licensing
Summary
Evigate is offered two ways: as a hosted subscription service and as a self-hosted deployment you run in your own infrastructure. Both are licensed, not sold. Evigate also incorporates open-source components, each under its own license; see Third-Party Licenses and the NOTICE.
1. Hosted service license
Subject to the Terms of Service and payment of applicable fees, Evigate grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to access and use the hosted service for your internal business purposes during your subscription term.
2. Self-hosted license
Where Evigate provides software for self-hosted deployment, it grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run that software in infrastructure you control, for your internal business purposes, subject to the Terms and these licensing terms.
*Operator note:* specify the exact self-hosted license model and any edition limits here:
[SELF_HOSTED_LICENSE_MODEL](e.g. per-organization commercial license, seat/usage limits, source availability, redistribution rules). State whether the self-hosted package is proprietary or carries a specific source-available/open-source license, and the fee model.
3. Restrictions
Except as permitted by law or an applicable open-source license, you may not: sublicense, resell, rent, or offer the software as a service to third parties; reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the proprietary parts; remove or alter proprietary notices; or use the software to build a competing product. Open-source components remain governed solely by their own licenses, which these restrictions do not override.
4. Customer data and BYOK
You retain ownership of your Customer Content (see the Terms of Service, §4). BYOK keys you provide remain yours and are used only to operate the service for you (see the AI Usage Policy).
5. Open-source components
Evigate is built with open-source software. The components and their licenses are listed in Third-Party Licenses, and required attributions are in the NOTICE. Your use of those components is governed by their respective licenses. Nothing here limits rights you have under an applicable open-source license.
6. Trademarks and brand
"Evigate," its logo, and related marks are trademarks of Logethos. The software license does not grant rights to use our marks except for nominative, descriptive reference. Do not use our branding in a way that implies endorsement or affiliation without written permission.
7. Support and updates
Hosted-service support is described in the SLA. Self-hosted support, update cadence, and any maintenance terms are set out at [SELF_HOSTED_SUPPORT_TERMS].
